Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.

The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

To date, he has released more than 40 books in total, including a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
