Palestinian-American Teenager Freed Following Nine-Month Period in Israel's Imprisonment

An Palestinian-American adolescent after completing nine months in imprisonment by Israel without charge has been freed.

Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old when he was arrested last February throughout the West Bank territory, while he was vacationing while residing in Florida under suspicion of rock throwing toward Israeli settlers, claims he consistently denied.

The US state department expressed satisfaction with the news of Mohammed's release.

Now sixteen years old, required hospitalization for treatment immediately after release, according to close relatives.

Family described him as showing signs of malnutrition, and experiencing medical problems developed during imprisonment.

In a statement, family spokesperson expressed the family's "tremendous relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "living a horrific and endless nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"Currently, we're concentrating on getting Mohammed the immediate medical attention necessary for his recovery after experiencing harsh conditions and brutal treatment over several months."

The state department stated they would maintain to extend consular services for the Ibrahim family.

Twenty-seven US lawmakers submitted a formal letter to diplomatic officials and the White House, demanding more be done for his freedom.

The father, with four children who runs an ice cream business from Florida, had earlier stated Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.

He had not seen or spoken to Mohammed following the detention, learning information solely about his son's condition in detention through court documents.

Mohammed was held absent formal charges within Ofer penitentiary in the West Bank.

The facility also contains mature inmates, including individuals found guilty regarding severe security violations and murder.

An estimated several hundred young Palestinian detainees detained within Israeli facilities, based on prison authority data.

Many have never been charged along with monitoring agencies, including UN bodies, document cases involving mistreatment and torture.

Following Mohammed's release, family representatives announced relatives would persist in advocating seeking justice for their relative Sayfollah Musallet.
