Vehicles in German Town Found Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police Report

Officers mentioned they were alerted by a individual who discovered a automobile in Hanau smeared with reddish fluid

Approximately 50 automobiles have been marked with what appears to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Automobiles, walls and postboxes were defaced, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Law enforcement say they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.

The substance had been applied in the form of a swastika, they stated.

Law enforcement then discovered many other smeared cars and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation outlawing the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement state initial examinations indicate the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.

"There is still no lead as to where it came from; authorities are presently not cognizant of any harm in association with the occurrence," they commented.

City officials said they were trying "to solve the incident" and have asked to the community for tips.

A senior official commented the incident left him stunned and needed to be solved quickly.

"This act affects the core of Hanau and revives the trauma of the right-wing attack in 2020," he posted on social media, recalling the death of nine people by a shooter targeting residents of immigrant origin in 2020.
